In addition to the previous awards, CT PTA has additional awards for our local PTA’s:
*CT PTA Award of Excellence in Membership Promotions*
Purpose: To recognize local PTA’s that exhibit excellence in promoting PTA Membership with innovative, comprehensive, and successful membership recruitment plans.
Eligibility: Describe your membership drive (i.e. Membership Drive Theme or best idea to increase parent involvement). All local PTA’s in good standing are eligible to apply.
*CT PTA Award of Excellence in Enrichment Programs*
Purpose: To recognize local PTA’s that exhibit excellence in planning innovative, meaningful, and diverse programs for both students and families.
Eligibility: Local PTA’s must have conducted the programs during the current school year. (Describe) All local PTA’s in good standing are eligible to apply.
*CT PTA Award of Excellence in Communications*
Purpose: To recognize local PTA’s that exhibit excellence in sharing and receiving communications with its members through innovative, comprehensive, and diverse means.
Eligibility: Local PTA’s must present documentation of the communication tools used during the current school year (i.e. newsletters, fliers, newspaper clippings, etc.) (Describe) All PTA’s in good standing are eligible to apply.
Family and Community Involvement*
Purpose: To recognize local PTA’s that excel in encouraging and engaging school/family/community volunteer partnerships as a means to increasing student achievement, promoting a healthy learning environment for students, empowering parents as advocates, and promoting a spirit of fellowship within the school.
Eligibility: Local PTA’s must document what was accomplished to be eligible for this award.

PTA LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD- Honor Someone Special
When a CT PTA Life Achievement award is bestowed, it is someone who has made a significant and ongoing contribution to the welfare of children and youth. The cost of this award is $75.00. Of that, $65.00 is donated to the CT PTA Scholarship Fund. Contact CT PTA for an application and more information for this prestigious award. click here for form
VOLUNTEERS AWARD
The member volunteer award may be awarded on a yearly basis for a PTA leader/member, who is an active member of a local PTA/PTSA/SEPTA. Award winners are nominated by their local PTA or council, and are someone who represents “volunteerism at its best”! PTA’s or councils must submit a one page narrative.
STUDENT VOLUNTEER AWARD
The student volunteer award may be awarded on a yearly basis and is for students, who are members of their PTA/PTSA/SEPTA and who the local PTA or council recognizes as representing “volunteerism at its best”! PTA’s or councils must submit a one page narrative. Judging of the entries will be done by CT
STUDENT CHALLENGE
For all PTAs who take on the student challenge we will have an award. Every PTA who has at least 10% of their membership made up of students will receive a membership award for their PTA. Students names will be put in a drawing and three winners will be pulled and awarded prizes from the state
MALE INVOLVEMENT AWARD
Plan 3 male involvement activities for your PTA that reduces barriers and promotes male involvement in the PTA or the school. (Must be chaired by a male)
