REALIZE YOUR POTENTIAL WITH E-LEARNING!

E-LearningNational PTA's Field Services and Training department's mission is to provide information as well as training and education to make every PTA member a trained child advocate. We serve national, state, and local unit leaders, and PTA members in facilitating this mission by being a

bulletPowerful voice for all children
bulletRelevant resource for parents
bulletStrong advocate for public education

To reach as many members as possible, National PTA is proud to present e-Learning, a computer-based training program. Each member's potential is just beginning with e-Learning.

Why E-Learning?

Technology is driving us toward access, information, and speed. E-Learning will give National PTA the power to advance membership training by quickly moving knowledge from people who have it to people who need it. Members can develop or hone leadership skills when, where, and as they need it. Its up-to-the-minute information is accessible from home, in the office, at the library, or on the road 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Topics

“Conflict Resolution” was the first e-learning course offered and is just finishing its pilot phase. Building off feedback from the first course, watch for “Goal Setting and Planning” to be up and running soon. Other topics to be addressed include leadership skills, presentation skills, team building, and grant writing.

Conflict Resolution. Through simulated mediation, you can practice your conflict management skills. Expert advice, feedback and resources will guide your experience and help you complete the process. You will be able to learn and perform conflict management techniques that apply to leadership roles in volunteer, work, and home life.

Goal Setting & Planning. In this course, you will practice strategic planning and goal-setting skills with a five-step process. Follow the models and expert guidance within each step and then download your certificate of successful completion. Return to this course and downloadable tools any time for support as you plan, set realistic goals, and meet them.

How Long Does Each Course Take?

Everyone's busy these days, and PTA has taken that into account and streamlined the courses. The first course, Conflict Resolution, only takes 20 minutes to complete.
