A Busy Parent

A Busy Parent is intended to give families an easy resource to explore the Internet.  Web sites are recommended covering topics kids typically need to learn about. For each topic a brief description of the site is offered, along with a time estimate for viewing the site. Sites chosen are interesting to adults as well as children, thus encouraging parents to spend time exploring with their kids.

The Coalition for Quality Children's Media (CQCM) is a national not-for-profit organization that is a voluntary collaboration between the media industry, educators and child advocacy organizations. It has created the parentwarrior Starter Kit (an introduction to the philosophy for parents and professionals) that is downloadable from its website for a nominal cost, and MacRae offers parent coaching for those who are ready to take their family to the next level of growth.
