Peace of Mind when Choosing a Preschool

Peace of Mind when Choosing a Preschool"Peace of Mind when Choosing a Preschool" explores the often-complex issue of preschool education options.

You naturally want your child to receive the best instruction, care, and supervision possible, and you want to be sure that your son or daughter's developmental needs are taken care of. But how
can you be certain a specific program will do so?

When considering preschool programs, look for some of the following characteristics:

bullet

Qualified teachers with degrees in early childhood education

bullet

Licensing and accreditation

bullet

Physical activities to develop your child's fine motor skills

bullet

Disciplinary measures that are fair and well-enforced

bullet

Adequate safety and security in the school building, on the playground, and on field trips

bullet

Social atmosphere that encourages interaction between the instructor and students, and among the students
