Join us for an evening of humor-laced secrets with Award-Winning Author Michael J. Bradley, Ed.D., 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, October 25, 2004 at The Garde Arts Center, New London, CT.

Yes, Your Teen is Crazy! Loving Your Kid Without Losing Your Mind

Dr. Bradley has spoken at a number of state PTA conventions across the country and may speak at National PTA's convention in 2005. He has written two books, "Yes, Your Teenager is Crazy! Loving Your Kid Without Losing Your Mind," andhis most recent "Yes, Your Parents are Crazy! A Teen's Survival Guide."

The workshop is aimed at parents --- giving them keys to getting across their messages in ways that teens will understand, and understanding what developmental obstacles exist to communication.

The CCC unites public, independent and alternative schools, institutions and community organizations to empower children and families to deal with issues that face us all. This is the seventh annual program featuring nationally known speakers to educate and inform all of the people of the region about child, family, and parenting issues. It is offered free of charge and is especially appropriate for parents, teachers, counselors, home-schoolers, social services providers, and students themselves.

Child care is offered free of charge, but registration is required. Call (860) 701-5150.

On Tuesday, October 26, 2004 Dr. Bradley will present and an additional workshop:  “Building Bridges Among Generations”, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, Crozier-Williams Center,  Connecticut College.

The Tuesday workshop is aimed at multi-generational groups and will look at the teen perspective and help teens and adults understand why situations deteriorate--why messages don't get received---how things can go so badly wrong when parents and teens try to talk to each other.
