Working Together for Student Success

A day for new and current SGC members, principals and Board members

This conference is designed to support SGC members with the tools they need and the strategies to succeed.  

 Dr. Patricia Edwards from the University of Michigan will provide the keynote address.  Dr. Edwards is a nationally recognized expert in parent involvement, multicultural literacy, early literacy, and family/intergenerational literacy, especially among diverse communities and children living in poverty.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend two break-out sessions on topics ranging from guidelines for conducting efficient meetings, to new approaches for engaging families and effective ways to use data for school improvement.

 Attendance is free

  • Special recognition will be given for the council with the largest number of attendees
