Don Romoser

Don Romoser is the President of Connecticut PTSA. Don has been active in education and philanthropic endeavors for many years. In Illinois, Don ran a winning campaign to build new schools and sat on a local Board of Education. In California, Don successfully raised over $500,000 in three months to save smaller class sizes throughout a large school district, was a PTA Legislative leader and went on to head the local education foundation. In Arkansas, Don headed a start-up PTA, and helped found a YMCA. In Connecticut, Don has held many positions in local PTAs, been active in Connecticut PTA, was a member of National PTAs’ Legislative Committee, is a Scoutmaster and is President of a Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors. Don continues to be an active member of many regional and statewide commissions and task forces. Don lives in Ridgefield with his wife, Sandy, and two children, Paige & William.

Melinda Saller

 Melinda became involved in the PTA in 2007, she became the VP of Programs right away. In 2008 she became the president of West Woods PTA and was also elected VP of Hamden Woman’s Club. Currently she is the President of the Hamden Town Council PTA. One of her goals was to increase membership within the local PTA/PTSA units. They implemented a cash incentive program. All of the units worked very hard to increase their membership. Her organizational skills, strong values and dedication to the PTA will be an asset to the CT PTSA as Vice President Membership Support.

Mary Hally

 Mary A Hally is an accountant with over 20 years’ experience in public accounting and private industry.  She has served as Reflections Co-Chair and Vice President of the JB Sliney PTA, Branford and an active volunteer in her son’s school, St. Francis and St. Rose of Lima in New Haven.  She is a current board member of the Branford Education Foundation, Friends of the Blackstone Memorial Library, Branford Festival and the Tabor Christian Community Preschool. Mary is a volunteer in her church and teaches CCD. She is a past board member of the Valley United Way and the Valley YMCA. Mary is self-employed and lives in Branford with her husband and son.

 Jim is a self employed consultant in the credit card industry with over 25 years of financial services experience. He has been actively involved in his children’s school, church and extracurricular activities their entire lives. Jim has a daughter, 10 and a son 15. His wife is a second grade Teacher in Fairfield

Kathy Huber

Kathy is the proud mother of two children, Rebecca and Brett.  She became involved in PTA when her daughter was a kindergartener in 2000 and has never looked back.  She continued her involvement with the PTA in her children’s middle school and high school.  Her first position in the PTA was Corresponding Secretary at Live Oaks Elementary School.  She went on to hold the positions of Recording Secretary, Parliamentarian, and Council Representative, as well as chairing a number of events and committees, including the Nominating Committee and Bylaws Committee.  At East Shore Middle School she served as Recording Secretary and Vice President.  She also chaired the Nominating Committee, Bylaws Committee and the Spring Fundraiser.  Kathy is also proud to be a member of the One Voice High School PTSA since its inception.  She also served on the Milford Council of PTAs holding the positions of Treasurer, Recording Secretary and two terms as Council President from 2008-2010.  In 2009, Kathy became the Region III Director for the Connecticut State PTSA, a position she held until 2011, when she became the Inclusivity/Outreach Vice President for CTPTSA.  She has also served as the Chair of the Strategic Leadership Plan (CTPTSA).  In addition to her work with her PTA families, Kathy volunteers in her hometown of Milford with the United Way, Bridges and Milford Celebrates and her church.  She is also very active with the Foran High School Sports Booster Club.  In addition to her volunteer work, Kathy is employed full time with the City of Milford.  She also serves as the Recording Secretary for the City’s Board of Aldermen and numerous other Boards and Commissions in the City of Milford.

Mary has been involved in the PTSA for over 16 years, since her oldest son began kindergarten.  She has been involved in many committees over the years. She has also held multiple Executive Committee positions at the Elementary, Middle and High School levels.  She served as Secretary/Treasurer for the CT PTSA for the 2009–2011 terms and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer for the North Haven PTSA Council.
